Y All days are nights to see till I see thee,

The long weekend is coming to an end, and I've indeed chillax the entire weekend away. Haha. Caught Handsome Suit at CWP last night. Hilarious movie that kept me laughing throughout the movie. It's like the counter-part version of 200 Pounds Beauty. Good!
More movies please!! Butaro~~
---
There are things which I've to start all over again now.. Sigh.
Anyway, weekend's ending, time to look forward to a brand new week. :)
"...And nights bright days when dreams do show thee me."
Y If you think missing me is hard, then you should try missing you..
Was contemplating to go to either Zouk or St James with two different groups of friends, but I felt I wasn't in any party mood tonight so I went neither. Stayed home and watched Kyle XY Season 3 instead. Am on my last episode now. Laughs. Labels: Everyday
I have been feeling really bored lately! Darn. For the entire week, it's work, going home to laze, occasional suppers and that's about it. I was supposed to watch the preview screening for 17 Again on Tuesday night, but we did not make it to the cinema in time so we had dinner and head home. Boooo.
Am self-learning some French language right now. Francais est frais! :) Kengey and I even made plans to take up Thai classes. After her exams that is. HAHA!
I want to watch so many movies! Shinjuku Incident, Handsome Suit, Fast and Furious 4, The Unborn and 17 Again. Any takers??
Geeez, I'm sleepy. Turning in soon. Chillax long weekend ahead!! Doh.

Sometimes, I just want to hide from the world.
With someone, who gives me a shoulder to lie on, and never turns away.
And forgives me for my transgressions.
And will never leave me, out in the cold.
Ohwells.
Snap back to reality, and I shall hide in my favourite cozy corner instead.
With a book in my hand, Justin Lo's musics in the background..
Hmmmmm.
Y Savouring everything
Mahjong, TCSS, drama and sleep. That's basically how my weekend went. Haha.
Lost $6 in mahjong yesterday with Chunyan, his dad and Daneil. Went TCSS with Yeappie, Tiffany and Zeejay to finish our leftover liqour after that. No one drove yesterday, so the guys were saying they want to 'mao liao'. I'm not sure if they were drunk though. I did not drink alot, because for once, I find the liqour taste unbearable.
We began doodling on the coasters, and even played games using them. Shuffled and took turns picking one. Left to right: Cow - no need to drink, Zhang Fei - drink Vodka Sprite, "Hantu" - drink martell + green tea & Angel - drink green tea.
HAHAHA!
Yeappie drew this 'hantu' and I hate looking at it. So evil looking. Hahaha! Zeejay even thinks it's worth 1000đồng. 300baht only more likely. Laughs. :x

In times like this, heading out for an impromptu late night movie and supper helps.
Caught Detroit Metal City earlier at Tampines Mall. A Japanese comedy based on the Japanese manga. I'm not a fan of this series, but the movie preview caught my attention. It's a pretty good sides-splitting comedy filled with dirty death metal music and jokes. Worth giving a shot for a hearty laugh. I had a good laugh. Damn hilarious.
Anyway, there's two other pretty old movies which I've watched recently and would like to recommend.

Before Sunset(2004) is the sequel to the film Before Sunrise (1995), both produced and directed by Richard Linklater. Both films has minimal plot, and it's basically about the two characters getting to know each other, walking and talking. Their ideas and perspectives on life and love are very very detailed. It's very romantic. Le tres bien! :)
---
Here's a beautiful poem from Before Sunrise.
Delusion Angel
- David Jewell
Daydream, delusion, limousine, eyelash.
Oh baby with your pretty face.
Drop a tear in my wineglass.
Look at those big eyes.
See what you mean to me.
Sweet-cakes and milkshakes.
I'm delusion angel, I'm fantasy parade,
I want you to know what I think.
Don't want you to guess anymore.
You have no idea where I came from.
We have no idea where we're going.
Latched in life, Like branches in a river,
Flowing downstream, Caught in the current,
I'll carry you, You'll carry me.
That's how it could be, Don't you know me?
Don't you know me by now?

Y A Song Per Day
“A Song Per Day” by Justin Lo Labels: EarBug
Ooh whoa, ooh hey yeah ooh hey oh ooh
Every time when I’m thinking of you
I just don’t know what to do
Pinch myself when I’m dreaming of you
Making sure that you could love me too
How it slipped away, all my happy days
Though I’m acting cool, when I’m feeling blue
Just to show you that I’m through with you
While I never wanted to
How can a love so beautiful ever slip away
When I get to the place
I swear I’ll write you a song each and every day
Ooh God I’m missing you it’s driving me so insane
Standing all alone in pouring rain
Can’t explain, can’t explain all my pain
Y The familarity lingers on
Over the weekend,
I baked a Chocolate brownie cake on Saturday. My first attempt in baking and decorating it, hence it did wasn't risen to acceptable height (ie: lackof self-raising flour) and the decoration wasn't that stunning. Yet, I think it tasted fine. Right? :)
Before decorating it.
After decorating it.
And on Sunday morning, my family and I went to Mandai Columbarium together with my other relatives. It's 清明节, so we were there to pay respects to my maternal grandpa... and grandma. It's the first year for my Popo, so we kinda bought more stuffs to burn for her. My family and I were early, so while waiting, we sat by the Koi fishes pond and I recalled the pain we all felt about 9 months ago when Popo turned into ashes. Sigh, we all missed you so.. :(
Then later in the evening on Sunday, I met Chunyan for a simple birthday dinner at Sakae Teppanyaki @ Changi Airport before he books in for the week at night. Hope you liked what I've prepared and have a great birthday. Happy Birthday once again. :)
And yesterday, guess where did Weewee and I went to after work? Haha. It was pretty impromptu, so I did not bring along my camera. We went "stars gazing"!!! Hahaha. Jackie Chan and Daniel Wu were at Plaza Singapura promoting their new flick - SHINJUKU Incident.
The crowd was pretty international; Chinese, Malay, Indian, Filipino, Caucasians, etc. And they were quite rowdy too, pushing and tugging. Grrr. I didn't manage to see much (due to my height I guess), so I was at the back and snapped this.

Monkeys up the Escalator! Laughs.
Didn't really get so snap any pictures, but Weewee managed to take a few short clips of them AND she even grabbed (or rather STROKED) Jackie Chan's arms. Hahaha, too bad it wasn't Daniel Wu's. :x Check one of the clips below.
Lastly, I'm gonna meet Li'e for dinner at Yishun tonight. Loveloves.
xoxo.

It's the kinda time I don't feel like doing anything work, so I'm dazing, stoning, daydreaming. Entertained by my own thoughts. I swear I can hear my brain yakking sometimes.
Ohwells.
Y Birthday Wishes
Happy 24th Birthday, Chunyan!
Happy 22nd Birthday, Buggy!
Hope both of you have a great birthday in camp, just like previous year. Happy ORD in (about) 2 months' time! :))
It has been a peaceful, yet tiring weekend! Updates soon! Nights world!!

Y With me, the present is forever, and forever is always shifting, flowing, melting.
Exhausted!!! Zzz. Labels: Girlfriends
Stocktake has been on going for 4days now, and we're still not done with it. I've been doing the scanner input. Yeah, I may not be physically drained as my ass is glued to the chair in front of the computer all time, but my eyes are strained, shoulders are aching (from reaching out to pass/take the scanners), head is splitting and ass is burning. Everyone's really exhausted and this is taking up too much of our time. I seriously hope tomorrow can finish everything LOR... :(
Despite the exhaustion, I've dinner dates with my girlfriends last night and tonight. Met up with Li'e last night and Kengey Mousey tonight for dinner, some light shopping and not forgetting to catch up with our lives. :)
Li'e and I went town shopping, and we had fun chatting, shopping and camwhoring in Zara's bigbig fitting room! Laughs. :D

♥

Been long since we do these mirror shots! Hahaha.

Self shots while waiting (and WATCHING!! winks :x) for Li'e to try on some tops. There's more, but I shall save you all the torment. Was on the phone in the first pict. Laughs.
... I was squatting.
...And then Li'e's legs became my photo frame. Muahaahaa! :x
Yakuza Moon! My best buy of the day! MPH don't carry this title, so I've to go Kino to get it. :( Can't wait to read it.. :)
Last night had been great. :) And as for today, Kengey and I went to Sim Lim Square to get some stuffs, shopped around Bugis before we head back home early. Was too drained, but we had a great time catching up and we even bumped into Samantha on our way to Bugis. Have been bumping into many of my old friends lately. :)
Alright, it's Friday tomorrow. TGIF!! Be gone stock take!!!! Nights world.
Xoxo.
Y Sometimes, people disappoint you. And sometimes, they surprise you.
Ooooh, I made my very own skirt today!! xD Labels: Everyday
I learnt and did everything from scratch - from getting the cloth, to measuring it, to sewing it, etc. It wasn't easy for a newbie like me, and it's pretty eyes straining. I hope to be able to venture further and make more pretty skirts, instead of buying them. :)
Caught Race To Witch Mountain at The Cathay last night. It's pretty much a kid-friendly action flick starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Somehow, this movie reminds me of Spykidz. Laughs. Not a bad film, I'd say. :)
Back to my drama-crazed. Just finished watching Rainie Yang's and Wilbur Pan's Miss No Good (不良笑花) recently, and now I'm watching One Tree Hill Season 2. I remembered I first watched this is because of Chad Michael Murray. The craze for him started after watching his Cindrella movie, and it sorta ceased ever since. Ohwells, it's a good teens drama though. :)
O yea, I dyed my hair dark purple over the weekend. And guess what? I need a hair cut. Haha!
I don't wanna be anything other what I've been trying to be lately..

Yet it sparked me off thinking.

Interesting.

Stocktake 2009 next week. But thankfully I don't have to breathe in the dusty air in the warehouse with the rest, as I'm assigned to do scanner uploading. Just like the previous year. The only con of this duty is, my eyes will be X_X at the end of the week. Laughs.
Y Marble Cake
Recipe Labels: Bake/Cook
(extracted and altered from Allrecipe.com)
Ingredients:
Method:
(I combined these 2, and used self-raising flour instead)
1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and flour a 9" round pan.
2. Place flour, salt, sugar, butter or margarine, eggs and vanilla extract into mixing bowl. Beat slowly to moisten, then beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth. Reserve 3/4 cup batter; pour remainder into pan.
3. Stir cocoa into the 3/4 cup reserved batter. Drop by spoonfuls over top of white batter. Using a knife, swirl the cocoa batter into the white batter to incorporate it in a marble effect.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean.
Ta-dah! My new electric mixer! :)
The white creamy batter before mixing the cocoa powder in.
Marble effect... failed. Haha, too much cocoa.
Ding dingding..
:D
Baked this cake over the weekend. I stirred in too much cocoa powder, hence the entire top portion of the cake became too chocolatey with no marble effects at all. Laughs. The cake taste marvelous though. :)

Some things, some habits... never change.
Y The least
Finally, it's something nice to end my fcuked up weekend with.
Been eons since I last had my hands on the mahjong tiles. Had an impromptu session with Chunyan, Chunyan's dad and Daneil this evening. Each time I hear Chunyan's dad is playing, it'll be 90% losing time for me. Hahaha, true enough. We play 20-40 and I lost a whopping amount of $50! Had Mac supper at Braddell after that. It was nice catching up. :)
Perhaps my weekend wasn't that bad afterall. And I just made a resolution for myself, but I decided to keep it to myself. In case I didn't manage to keep to it. :x
Anyhow, I watched quite a number of movies at home over the weekend. Devil Wears Prada, Slumdog Millionaire, 家有喜事 and Confession of a Shopaholic (last week). All were pretty good, except for 家有喜事, which I supposed was meant for retarded people. I'm done watching 岁月风云 on Friday, and I swear it rocks my socks. :x Hahaha.
It's Monday tomorrow, and I look forward to face everything positively. I've always been an optimistic person, haven't I? :)
Nights world. :)
Y 一切回到原点
I remembered a similar thing happened to me about 3 years ago. I hadn't coped very well then. I supposed this time round too, but I'm giving myself till end of today to recover. Labels: Everyday
It feels like a dream. I feel like a fool. It's hard for anybody to really comprehend what I'm feeling, so I see no point in saying much. I wished to get out of here. Yes, I may sound like I'm escaping, but that's my easiest way out.
Both has helped me through a pitfall, and the same people pushed me back in. Every single piercing words. I will always remember. Ohwells, I've no one to blame except myself.
It's okay. What have I not gone through anyway? So I will definitely trudge on and prove you all wrong.
P/S: Thanks larling for staying up with me last night. :)

But then, my driving skills is still not that wonderful, especially my parking. Owells. :x
Y Dragonball: Evolution
Labels: Reviews
Caught the free preview of Dragonball: Evolution this evening at Cineleisure with Yeappie, Evelyn & Shaowei. Adapted from the Japanese manga series, produced by a Chinese (Stephen Chow) and acted by (mainly) the American, this film received alot of critics. We were 'looking forward' to see how bad this movie is going to be.
Perhaps this is slightly worth watching as compared to a film I caught recently - Kung Fu Chef. However, it still sucked. Hahaha. It's crappy and westernized to such a degree that it’s not even worth calling it DragonBall (hence the cop-out of adding in evolutions I guess). Okay lah, maybe all the funny chinese names of the characters tickles me somehow. 龟仙子, 大猴子, 龟火风泼, Yum Cha, etc. Hahaha.
If there's a need for a consolation to us, guess it'll be that we watched this sucky film for FREE. Laughs. :)
---
Wooo, my mom just bought a new electrical cake mixer/beater (whatever you call it) for me! No more manual whisking from now! So what should I bake next? :)
Alright, back to watch 岁月风云. What's new right? Haha. Damn, I'm hooked! :)

Y Thai Shrimp Cakes
Labels: Bake/Cook
Remember this from Phuket, Thailand? Having tasted this simple and delicious dish in Phuket, I googled for the recipe and tried making my own Thai Shrimp Cakes today. :)
Recipe
(I googled and copied to paper, hence I did not save the url.)
Ingredients:
Method:
1. Flat the prawns white knife then roughly chop them. Process the fish in the food processor then add prawns, soy sauce, salt, sugar and pepper. Continue processing for a minute until the ingredients are blended together. I don't have a food processor, hence I chopped and blended the ingredients myself.
2. Make small patty shapes out of the mixture.
3. Coat the patties with the bread crumbs.
4. Deep fry until golden brown. Serve hot with Thai Chilli Sauce.
Cute lil patties ready to be friedd.

Lil patties swimming in the pool of oil
Ta-dah! Dip into the Thai Chilli sauce, and yummy, it taste awesome! My family can assure that. :)
This sauce goes well with the shrimp cakes, but I bet if there's self-made sauce, it'll taste better.
Recipe (make one 12" pizza dough) Labels: Bake/Cook
extracted from Happy Home Baking
Ingredients:
Method:
1. Use a 30cm (12") round pizza tray. Grease the tray. (I lined the pizza tray with parchment paper)
2. Mix flour, salt and yeast in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the water and olive oil. Mix with hand to form a soft dough. If needed, add a little more water.
3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for 10 minutes or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with cling wrap and leave to rise for 30minutes until double in size.
4. Turn out the risen dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knock it down to release the air. Give it a few gentle kneading. Roll or press out to a round to fit the pizza tray, place dough on tray.
5. Spread pizza sauce (I used Prego's traditional pasta sauce) over the pizza base to within 1cm (0.5 inch) of the edge. Arrange a layer of grated cheese, followed by preferred toppings. Sprinkle the top all over with grated cheese.
6. Leave the pizza in a warm place for about 10-15 minutes. Preheat oven to 220 °C.
7. Bake pizza for 20-25 minutes or until the crust has risen and is golden and the cheese has melted. Serve warm.
My preferred toppings: Button mushroom, hotdogs & chicken picnic ham. All sliced.
Ready to meet the heat!
Bake...bake..bake..
Over risen. :( But it looked damn cheesy and yummy... :D
Brought half of the pizza and some Longan Jelly I made out to TCSS to meet the usuals (Zeeejay, Tiffany & Yeappie) for them to try last night. Both Zeejay's and Yeappie's feedbacks were, "Edible". Laughs. However, Yeappie said to sliced the toppings thinner, add more pasta sauce and to make the crust thinner too. Okay, points taken. Will improve on them. :)
Here's some sweet thangs to go along. :)

Dropped by Li'e's place the other day to return the luggage I borrowed from her mom, and at the same time got the Phuket pictures she took using her camera. Haha. Looking at the pictures makes me wanna relive everything all over again. Then again.....
If there's some things are meant to change, it'll remain so. No point feeling confused about it anymore. Whatever will be, will be. *patpat joanne. :)
Whatever happens, whatever aches, I know I still have 叶宝贝! :)
P/S: Pictures from Li'e's camera are here, here and here.
